The Road Transport Department (RTD Malaysia) has started a special operation to check drivers’ negligence during the Aidilfitri. Under the op, the department officials will disguise themselves as regular passengers to check driver compliance with rules.

Datuk Lokman Jamaan, a senior RTD Malaysia director, said that undercover officials will issue summons to the drivers if they are found making any offences. The issuing of summons will be done on spot.
Lokman Jamaan made the comments after inspecting buses at the Bersepadu Selatan terminal last night.
Lokman Jamaan said that RTD has inspected 217 buses worldwide and suspended ops of 11 buses which were found not roadworthy by the road department.
