At least 16 people killed and seven others wounded after a Russian plane was crashed in the Tatarstan region on Sunday. Speaking with the local news agency in Russia, the emergencies ministry said that the plane Let L-410 Turbolet was carrying a group of parachute jumpers. The report said that seven people are badly injured and they are in critical condition. The reason behind the incident is yet to be known.

Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed on Telegram that 15 people have died. The plane was a Let L-410 Turbolet, a twin-engine short-range transport aircraft, which crashed near the town of Menzelinsk in the Republic of Tatarstan in central Russia.
According to the TASS news agency, four more people have been rescued by fire and rescue teams. The source said that a total of 7 people have been rescued so far.
The footage shows on social media that the plane has broken into two parts after crashing.
According to reports, there were 23 people on the board, of which 21 of them were parachute divers.
