Pharma company Duopharma has signed a deal with the government to supply 6.4 million doses of Sputnik V, a vaccine developed by Russia. Sputnik V is being currently used in 68 countries across North and South America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa. Going by the accuracy, the Sputnik V vaccine is considered most effective against the virus and its efficacy has been measured at over 90%. Also, the vaccine is known to have the least serious adverse events.

Duopharma Biotech’s Group managing director Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar confirmed the company’s state of readiness to supply vaccines.
Abdul Shatar said that Covid has brought in extraordinary challenges for Malaysia and immediate collaboration is needed to overcome it on many fronts.
“Duopharma Biotech is fully committed and proud to be part of our nation’s immunisation programme,” he said.
