A student and a Rohingya labourer died while two others were seriously injured in an accident in Ulu Melaka on Friday night. The incident took place around 10.30 PM after two motorbikes collided in an accident. Langkawi police said that the accident is believed to have occurred when a motorbike, ridden by a student, was coming from the wrong direction.

According to Langkawi District Police Chief, the incident happened at 10.22 pm, involving Honda Wave and Yamaha LC motorcycles coming from opposite directions.
The dead were identified as Ku Nur Shahrizal Ku Nor Sazali, 16, and Anas Ali, 28, who suffered severe head and body injuries.
The two seriously injured were Anas’ wife, Artiyah Lashidullah, 20, and their daughter Nadiyah, 5, who rode the motorcycle.
The Authority further said in its statement that a motorcycle ridden by the three Rohingya children was on its way, and then collided head-on.
