Malaysia’s 9th prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob is going to present a list of candidates for cabinet position today in his audience with The Yang di-Pertuan Agong. It is expected that all the new ministers of the cabinet to take oath tomorrow.
According to reports, Ismail Sabri will contact the candidates regarding their respective positions after Yang di-Pertuan approves the list. There will also be a backup list in case any MPs decline their said position.Â

Meanwhile, former minister Azmin Ali could become Ismail Sabri’s deputy, as he has strong support from Bersatu and UMNO. However, there is a going tassel for the position, which is expected to continue until the last hour.Â
According to Sources, Ismail Sabri is under great pressure to meet demands while lining up the cabinet minister’s list. He wants certain MPs who worked under Muhyiddin Yassin to continue.
Ismail Sabri was sworn in as the country’s 9th prime minister on 21 August, ending a long political crisis that erupted after UMNO withdrew support for PM Muhyiddin Yassin.
