Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he has not yet found inspiration to dissolve the parliament. However, said any decision on the dissolution of parliament will be made after a meeting with top UMNO leaders on September 30. This comes after the recent speculation of the 15th general election. Ismail Sabri, who is also UMNO vice-president, said he himself has not yet received the agenda for the Supreme Council meeting.

At the end of his New York visit, Ismail stated that “On the September 30 evening, there are the Top 5 and political bureau meetings and then at night the Supremr Council meeting. So let’s wait.” The UMNO Top 5 includes the President, deputy president and three vice-presidents. He went to New York to address the United Nations General Assembly.
Ismail Further said that any information on the dissolution of the parliament can only be shared on September 30 after the meeting for which he is yet to receive the outline for.
Praising the New York’ famous Central park, Ismail said its amazing how the 832-acre park which is situated right in the centre of the city, is so well maintained and preserved. He even said that from Central park he has found inspiration to preserve green areas in Malaysia, however when asked if he has found inspiration to dissolve parliament, with a smile he replied “not yet.”
