Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today revealed that high food import bills and other issues concerning food security are among topics prioritised in revised Budget 2023. He further said that the Budget also focuses on efforts to empower the roles of big companies, as well as small-and-medium industry.

In a statement, Anwar said, “They need to focus on and be given chances to explore new technologies and digitalisation so as to be more competitive and able to create more job opportunities.”

He said this at the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia’s Chinese New Year Open House in Kuala Lumpur.
