Frenchman Deported From Malaysia Slapped With Terrorist Charge

Remy Daillet-Wiedemann, a french conspiracy theorist who was deported from Malaysia to France, has been slapped with terrorism charges. He was earlier deported to France after allegedly kidnapping an 8-year-old girl. He is a former regional leader of France’s centrist MoDem party before he was expelled in 2010. In April, French prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for Remy, who had been residing in Malaysia for several years.

Daillet was initially wanted in his country over the abduction of an 8-year-old girl in eastern France from her grandmother. The child, Mia, was returned to her grandmother’s care and her mother lost her custody and was no longer allowed to see or talk to her.

However, on Friday, a judge in France charged him with terrorist offenses. This comes after an investigation was opened under Honour and Nation group. It is believed that Daillet was involved in planning several attacks, including the dethroning of the French government.

Daillet, his pregnant wife and three children were taken into custody in May on the holiday island of Langkawi after their visas expired. After the kidnapping, he posted a video stating that his organisation returns children abducted by the state to parents, at their request. “There was absolutely no kidnapping,” he said in the video.
