Kuala Lumpur: Senior Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that certain areas in Kuala Lumpur would come under the enforced movement control order if the number of cases keeps rising.
He stated that the recommendation has yet to be made to the National Security Council. However, he said the decision would be made by the Ministry of Health, which would be after they had evaluated every locality.
In his press conference, he added that for now no suggestions for EMCO have been made, but have just asked to maintain the conditional movement control order.
This comes after he was asked to comment over the growing Covid-19 cases in the capital and measures apart from CMCO that would be taken.
Meanwhile, Damanlela construction site in Kuala Lumpur contributed the highest number of Covid-19 yesterday with 460 cases.
The state recorded 475 cases, out of which 462 came from the existing clusters, and six were imported cases.
