Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu senior vice-president, Fadillah Yusof, today agreed with Barisan Nasional chairman Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that deputy prime minister’s must have power and should not just be a mere post. He said that the post does not only means solving prevailing problems but whats most important is that it must come with power.

In a statement, Fadillah said “What is more important is the formation of a stable government that understands the needs of the populace in the peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak.”
He said this at the distribution of Keluarga Malaysia PerantiSiswa for students of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak in Kuching.
Earlier, BN chairman Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi proposed to appoint three DPM posts to represent Sabah, Sarawak and the peninsula if BN wins in the upcoming election. He even suggested Prime Minister Ismail Sabri to include this in the BN and GPS manifesto for GE15.
