‘Don’t Think Ukraine Will Ever Become NATO Member’: Zelenskyy’s BIG statement

In a big statement, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today said that Ukraine may never take the membership of NATO nations. “Ukraine realises that it would not like to become a member of NATO nations,” Zelenskyy said at the meet with representatives of the UK-led Joint Expeditionary Forces. Zelenskyy’s statement gains significance as Russia has been asking Ukraine not to join NATO forces.

“We heard for years about the allegedly open doors,” Zelenskyy said, adding, “but we have already heard that we won’t be able to join.”

He added that “it’s the truth we must recognise, and I’m glad that our people are starting to realise that and count on themselves and our partners who are helping us.”

The JEF consists of Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. Zelenskyy, once again, urged Western allies to provide Ukraine with warplanes.
