At least 97.6 per cent of Malaysia’s adult population has been fully vaccinated, as of December 27. Based on data from the Ministry of Health (MOH) through the COVIDNOW website, a total of 23,135,883 individuals or 98.9 per cent of the group have received at least one dose of vaccine. While more than 87 per cent of the country’s children population aged 12 to 17 have received both doses against Covid-19.

According to government data, 90.2 per cent of adolescents received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, daily statistics show a total of 64,283 doses of vaccine were given involving 62,022 booster doses with 1,411 complete doses and 850 first doses.
The development brings the cumulative number of vaccinations through the National Covid-19 Immunization Program (PICK) to 56,814,549 doses with 5,452,251 of them being booster doses.
Health DG Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said on Monday that the infectious rate of Covid-19 or Ro/Rt on the expected daily case on December 26 for the whole country was 0.90. While the breakdown by the state is as in the appendix.
