More than 82 per cent of the adult population of the country has been fully vaccinated as of 24 September, according to the health ministry. The government data shows that a total of 19,311,563 individuals have received both doses. While nearly 60 per cent of the country’s total population has been completed their Covid doses so far. The vaccination programme in Malaysia had began in the last week of February.

The ministry’s data says nearly 70 per cent of country’s adult population has received at least one jab against the covid-19.
Meanwhile, more than 25,300 or 0.8 per cent of children have received the Covid vaccines.
Yesterday, Malaysia had reported at least 14,554 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of cases to over 2,171,200. Sarawak, Selangor, Johor, and Sabah are the worst-hit states with the most number of cases.
According to the health ministry, a total of 250 deaths occurred in the last 24 hours—bringing the total number of fatalities due to Covid-19 to over 24,900.
