According to the Health Ministry’s official website CovidNow, Selangor recorded the highest number of fatalities with 5. Out of 14 deaths, nine were categorised as brought-in-dead cases. Yesterday, Malaysia’s daily Covid cases breached the 9,000 mark with 9,117 new infections, bringing the nation’s tally to 2.884,729.

Sabah reported 4 casualties, While Kuala Lumpur reported 2 and one each in Johor, Negri Sembilan, and Perak. The nation’s death rate stands at 33 deaths per 10 million people.
While the hospital bed utilisation rate for Covid-19 cases stands at 64.1 per cent and ICU utilisation rate at 59.5 per cent.
Meanwhile, Selangor reported the highest number of cases with 2,490, followed by Sabah (1,205), Johor (901), Kedah (847), Kelantan (673), Kuala Lumpur (584), Perlis (88), Sarawak (42) and Labuan (15).
